The IATEFL LTSIG is happy to announce its upcoming publication ‘Digital Innovations in Language Learning’. It will be a refereed publication with an ISBN number and will comprise chapters by experts in the field of Digital Technologies. It will be published in 2019 and be broadly promoted internationally.
We would like to offer LTSIG members involved with Action Research the opportunity to contribute to the publication by offering two places to the most talented writers:
Are you a current paid up member of the IATEFL LTSIG?
Have you started, or completed, an Action Research study with a focus on the use of technology?
Are you confident you can put together a compelling book chapter proposal?
If your answers are “yes”, then don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of this very promising publication and share your findings with a wide readership!
To enter the competition you will need to submit an Action Research book chapter proposal of approximately 300 words outlining your chapter. Please email your abstract to both Dr. Christina Giannikas ([email protected]) and Sophia Mavridi ([email protected]) providing the following information:
• the topic and outline of your chapter
• keywords
• how your chapter will contribute to the literature
• references (APA in-text and list)
• and a short biographical note (no more than 50 words) of the contributor(s)
All submissions must outline original work that has not been previously published.
If you win the competition, you will be expected to deliver a 4000-5000 word (about fourteen pages) chapter. Generally the research chapters will include a brief description of the topic to provide the context, discuss the major facets of it, and end with a forward-looking section.
Kindly note that the deadline for proposal contributions is May 15th 2018.
Other important dates are:
Notification of Acceptance/Rejection: June 15th 2018
First draft of chapter: October 26th 2018
Review of first drafts: December 15th 2018
Second draft of chapter: February 22th 2018
Submission to Publisher: March 15th 2019
