We recently opened the call for applications for the position of LTSIG Newsletter Editor.
The LTSIG newsletter Editor position involves commissioning articles for publication on the LTSIG website, proofreading and editing in conjunction with guest writers, working with the website editor, liaising with the content team, and collating announcements and events for the newsletter.

Phil Longwell was elected unopposed and we are pleased to welcome him as an accomplished colleague who has much to contribute to the SIG. Many of you will be aware that Phil has been working hard on the LTSIG sub-committee over the last six months or so. His Edtech & publishing knowledge, drive & initiative, together with excellent communication skills, are just what our content team needs to keep the LT SIG flowing with news, updates and content creation.
Invitations to apply, including the nomination form, were sent out to all members by email on 6 December and needed to be completed and returned to [email protected] by no later than 12 December.
When there is more than one applicant, the procedure is for statements by the candidates to be posted on the IATEFL LTSIG website. Electronic elections then take place through online voting administered by IATEFL .
On behalf of the committee and the IATEFL community at large, we would like to welcome Phil on board and wish him a creative tenure.
